This is a predator fishing water with pike and perch present. Permitted methods for pike are fly fishing, spinning with artificial lures and dead baiting with sea fish baits. Smelt and lamprey are specifically prohibited. Please make sure that you have the necessary equipment for safely unhooking pike. Barbless hooks are recommended.
It is also permissible to use worm and maggot for perch fishing but there is to be no groundbaiting or use of keepnets and all fish are to be returned to the water whether dead or alive.
No wading, boats or float tubes.
How to get there:
Located close to the Sportsman’s Arms at the side of the A543 Denbigh to Pentrefoelas road just before the turning for Brenig.
Park on the track inside the gate to the fishery, the gate may have a club combination lock on it. Alternatively park on the hard shoulder at the junction of the A543 with the B4501, or the layby on the right a few yards after the junction, or near the entrance to the forest track a few yards past the cattle grid on the B4501.
